Transitions Ladywell is Born!
Transitions Ladywell has just been born, and hopes to add to the good work of Ladywell Village Improvement Group, Low Impact Neighbourhood Community (LINC) group, Ladywell Society and others that are making Ladywell a great place to live!

Film Screenings and network sessions planned
Transitions Ladywell plans to hold a screening of 'The End of Suburbia' (which explores peak oil) soon, where anyone interested can come along - although it will most likely be in one of our front rooms at this stage!
From here we will form a steering group, which will raise awareness about peak oil and climate change. We will then work towards providing a space for people to network and discuss ideas about the transition - we will look to collaborate with other groups where we can.
Ladywell Fields development and biodiversity observation
Ladywell Fields has just received a boost after the council secured nearly £2m in funding from the London Development Agency, to improve the middle and southern fields in the park. Since one of the proposals for the development is to improve biodiversity, this will be an ideal opportunity for Transitions Ladywell (and other groups) to observe how biodiversity can be encouraged. How we observe and engage with this development will be a focus for discussion at future meetings.
Midsummer Fayre presence
Transitions Ladywell will have a stall at the Brockley Society’s Midsummer Fayre, on Hilly Fields this June (Sat 20th). On the stall we hope to present a series of interactive games to play, which will allow you to better understand peak oil, climate change and what you can do about both. By the summer, we will also have loads of information about Transitions Ladywell and how you can get involved.
